The 10 Pillars of Purposeful Living

To help you uncover and live your Ikigai, I’ve developed the 10 Pillars of the Go Slow to Go Fast Lifestyle. Here’s how they align with finding purpose:

  1. Hygge Concepts in Everyday Life: Find joy in the small moments—like lighting a candle, enjoying a warm cup of coffee, or savoring a good book. These simple comforts ground us and remind us of life’s beauty.
  2. Less is More (Organization): Clear the clutter, both physically and mentally, to make space for what truly matters. Simplicity often reveals your purpose.
  3. Alignment: Align your values with your actions. When you live authentically, you naturally gravitate toward your Ikigai.
  4. Stillness (Meditation): Quiet reflection helps you connect with your inner self and uncover what’s most important.
  5. Movement (Exercise): Energize your body to fuel your mind. Physical wellness supports clarity and focus.
  6. Structure (Planning to Practice): Create routines that support your goals. Structure gives you the framework to pursue your Ikigai.
  7. Relaxation (Hygge in Motion): Balance effort with rest to sustain your energy and joy. Relaxation isn’t laziness; it’s renewal.
  8. Focus (Crafting and Meeting Goals): Define your priorities and take intentional steps toward them. Progress is purpose in motion.
  9. Nourishment (Eating for Fuel, Not Reward): Feed your body with intention, recognizing that food fuels both physical and emotional well-being.
  10. Fun (Bringing Joy Into Every Day): Purpose isn’t just about work—it’s about embracing life’s playful, joyful side.
