In the latest episode of The Innovators & Investors Podcast, host Kristian Marquez sits down with Sam Huang, Principal at BMW iVentures, for a candid conversation to explore the dynamic intersection of venture capital, artificial intelligence, robotics, and manufacturing innovation. Sam shares BMW iVentures’ investment thesis, focusing on Series A and B startups across the US, Europe, and Israel, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven SaaS, automation, and onshoring trends driven by labor shortages and supply chain disruptions. Listeners gain valuable perspectives on the evolving venture diligence process, the importance of product-market fit, and how higher ARR benchmarks reflect both market maturity and macroeconomic factors like rising interest rates. Sam also candidly discusses his unconventional career path—from a Stanford history PhD program to law school and ultimately venture capital—highlighting how diverse experiences enhance investment acumen. The conversation delves into the benefits of corporate venture capital, especially BMW’s hands-on support and networking advantages for portfolio companies. Additionally, Sam reveals how AI is integrated internally at BMW iVentures to optimize workflow and decision-making. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the future of innovation, investment strategy, and the transformative impact of AI and robotics on global industries. The Christian Church will not escape tribulation, rather the Antichrist will arise in the end time, and, "There will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time;" (12:1). We needn't despair, for the Lord will help His people, those who are found "Written in the book". He will rescue them. He will come and rescue them unto life, but the Antichrist and the wicked He will judge. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

"At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it." Jer.18:7,8...The United States deserves judgment. Christian, witness of the Lord, perhaps we will repent and the Lord will be merciful to us!…
Good is not good enough! It is not enough to live a clean and disciplined life, or to be associated with a godly saint from the past. To be a true Christian, one must know and be identified with Jesus Christ, to believe in Him, His person and work, by faith.
"Preaching has become a thing of the past, what people want now is to feel good about themselves, to have an uplifting experience!"...so I imagine the culture at large would state. It was through preaching that the LORD would warn the people of Nineveh of the judgment to come. The Word of God is what brought Mercy to the people who deserved judgment. Don't despise the preached Word!…
Jonah deserved everything that happened to him! He deserved to die for disobeying the LORD. He was thrown over board in the midst of a raging sea. Yet, the mercy of God triumphed over his sin. Three days and three nights in the stomach of a fish restored his life. The believing sinner, likewise, is shown mercy because of Christ spending three days and three nights in the heart of the earth!…
In our age of "Professionals"...those who specialize in a specific skill or calling, we think of Pastors as being the one who is responsible and gifted to make the church grow! In this passage we see that no one person has all that is needed to make the church grow, but that it takes the whole body of Christ to advance the kingdom of God.…
The more we are caught up in the greatness of who God is, the less enamored we are with the World around us! As David focused upon the LORD's greatness he was less sympathetic with sin around him and with sin in his own life. How great is your God?
The LORD loves His people enough to discipline them when they stray, when their attitudes and behaviors are not what they should be. Jonah had his sin exposed, and tasted the judgment of God because of his sin. What he was unwilling to do on behalf of the man dead in his sin, Jesus Christ willingly did that the sinner might know the tender mercies of our God!…
The Lord loves the lost and calls His Church to be His witness in order that the lost may know Him! A disobedient Church will be dealt with by God's sovereign control, and brought to where it needs to be to fulfill His calling upon us.
A comfort to the Believer who feels misunderstood, overlooked or who is falsely accused, is that the LORD knows him best, in truth, and that there is no place he can go or "end-up" where the LORD isn't present! He knows us intimately as He has made us "Fearfully and Wonderfully"! Take heart in your trials!…
The LORD cares for the lost and calls His people to be His witnesses. The LORD will see to it that we obey by sovereignly orchestrating all events to position His people and to prepare them to speak of His mercies to the lost.
We used to sing songs in the church such as "Onward Christian Soldiers!"...A mandate to carry the Gospel to the Nations. What has happened to us as a Church? Jonah is an example of smugness, an "I'm better than you, and you really deserve to die in your sin" attitude. The Lord cares for the lost, and calls His people to care as well for them.…
Have you ever asked, "Does anyone truly know me?". Have you ever felt misunderstood or have you been wrongly accused? As we begin this Psalm 139, we are reassured that there is One Who does know us even better than we know ourselves. This beautiful Psalm reassures us that God knows better!
"What?!?...I'm not good enough for God?!?". "What do you mean I'm not capable of saving myself?"... The idea of man needing a Sovereign grace to be saved is a troublesome thought. Rather than lean on your own understanding and the popular notions of our culture, you must listen to and believe the words of Jesus. Those who look to Him in faith, they will be saved.…
"Gospel ministry is exciting!"...Yes it is, and no it is not, at least not in the sense that some speak of it. It requires work, a regiment of nurturing those who have been placed under your care with the goal of seeing those in Christ mature in the Lord.
Salvation is a mysterious blessing! For a man to know Jesus Christ and to become His willing subject he must be born of "Water and the Spirit". It is not merited, come by naturally, but supernaturally as an act of God's Spirit, Who changes the heart!
