Welcome to this teaching session, we study the Book of Psalm 25:9-10, which declares, "Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgment, and the meek will He teach His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies." Our prayer today is for the Holy Spirit to grant us revelation into this profound word.

David, the Psalmist, consistently describes God with the adjective "good." Throughout scripture, the emphasis on God's goodness is profound. Interestingly, the Bible rarely uses the words "better" or "best" to describe God, except in specific contexts like "better is the end of a matter than the beginning." Instead, the word "good" is frequently and consistently used.

This recurring use of "good" signifies something profound about God's disposition, personality, perception, and description of the things He created. From the beginning, in Genesis chapter 1, we see the word "good" repeatedly used to describe God's creation, culminating in "very good."

Understanding the significance of "good" helps us grasp the essence of God's nature and how He relates to His creation. God's goodness is not just a characteristic but a fundamental aspect of His being. The paths of the Lord are marked by mercy and truth for those who keep His covenant and testimonies.

Join us as we explore the depth of God's goodness and its implications for our lives. Looking into the scriptures, uncovering the layers of meaning behind God's repeated affirmation of goodness. We'll see how this goodness guides, teaches and transforms us as we walk in His ways.

May this episode enlighten our hearts and minds, drawing us closer to a profound understanding of God's inherent goodness. Let the revelation of His goodness inspire us to live lives that reflect His mercy, truth, and covenant love.

Tune in as we journey through the Word, seeking deeper insights into the nature of our good and upright LORD.

Jesus is Lord.
