Episode 183: Better Treatment with Haley and Ryan Scellick
Manage episode 486801306 series 3010982
This week, Chris sat down with Nurse Practitioner Haley Scellick and her husband, firefighter Captain Ryan Scellick. With over 20 years of Fire experience, Ryan's health was declining and traditional medical care was not making things better. With Haley's medical background, she got curious. Working with Ryan's primary health care provider, Haley discovered that Ryan's testosterone levels were abnormal. This started more investigating and a more holistic approach to Ryan's health care. Ryan's health returned and he felt better than he had in years.
This inspired Haley and Ryan to start First Responder Health and Wellness, a telemedicine practice for first responders and their spouses.
They provide comprehensive individualized care to address the complexities of first responder health. They do advanced lab testing, extensive hormone panels, and gut testing to treat patients based on underlying causal data instead of the standard based population metrics. First Responder Health is a membership-based practice that allows more committed time in the first visit than your traditional provider will see you in a whole year. They also have developed their own supplement line based on the combined research of doctors like Andrew Huberman, Peter Attia, and Mark Hyman. The supplements help support sleep, stress and cellular function.
