Our Special Guest: Improv Coach Erica Teel
Erica Teel’s expertise in improv began in 2005, studying with Improv notables Alan Arkin, Eric Farone, Joshua Kirk, Susan Messing, Mark Beltzman, Dave Razowsky, Kerstin Caldwell, Sam Gordon, and other acclaimed teachers. Erica’s work with organizations across the country has greatly expanded perceptions of what is possible through the power of improv.
She co-founded of ImprovLEAP with Joshua Kirk in 2015. Together they created transformational improv trainings and hands-on classes that imparted shifts in personal, corporate, and business culture. They perform regularly in the Denver area and at business functions and celebrations.
Erica’s current focus is working with adults in small groups and classes. She is deeply committed to facilitating the discovery and expression of the immense creative potential within every person.
She facilitates participants in discovering improv’s dynamic impact on their work, play, and creative expression. This energizes out-of-the-box thinking, a positive outlook on life, effective communication skills, and the courage to do new things. Improv can enhance all relationships. Erica’s unique sensitivity to others makes people feel welcome and included in every class, workshop, or celebration she leads. With a rich background in personal development, Erica is passionate about using the power of improv as a vehicle for innovative personal empowerment and the enjoyment of life. YAY!
Erica lives in the Denver area with her husband of 34 years and their rescue dog. She loves spending time with friends and family which include her sons, daughters-in-law, 5 1/2 grandchildren, and her parents. She enjoys performing and teaching improv, watching documentaries and nonfiction movies. She and her husband cleanse their palates from the day by watching something funny every single night. Mountains, beaches, time in nature, hikes, reading spiritually inspiring books, and going on sacred retreats feed her soul. She offers kindness and help wherever she can and does her best to tend to the environment. She loves weekly dates with her husband, a tradition they have had for 30+ years.
