13. Science without Boarders: A discussion with William Boynton
Manage episode 189119944 series 1364890
I sat down with Prof. William Boynton of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of the University of Arizona. William (as I call him) is a dear friend and has spent his life working in space missions. Recording from his office at the Drake Building at the University of Arizona, we discussed how someone who was originally a sample scientist studying meteorites became involved in space exploration, including working with colleagues in USSR and Russia. He is a true visionary who helped science cross national boarders to better science and the human experience. He is the Mission Instrument Scientist on the OSIRIS-REx mission and we work very closely together. Recorded October 2017.
