Coming to you from Chiba, greater Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Kevin Walsh of the Southwest Research Center in Boulder, CO, and I discuss his Grand Tack hypothesis of the origins of planetary bodies in the Solar System, his role on OSIRIS-REx, and the passion he has for science. Dr. Walsh is also lead scientist for the Regolith Development Working Group of the OSIRIS-REx mission and in charge of one of the four maps that will be produced to aid in sample site selection.
