In this first episode of He Hears Even the Cricket in the Corner, Sam and Cricket lay the groundwork—literally—by discussing the importance of a strong foundation in our lives. Just like a house needs a solid base to stand firm, our faith and identity must be anchored in Christ to withstand life’s challenges.

Drawing from Matthew 7:24-27 and Ephesians 2:19-22, they reflect on how daily renewal, accountability, and God’s Word reinforce our spiritual foundation. What happens when cracks start forming? How do we repair and strengthen our faith?

Join the conversation and reflect: What is your foundation built on? Is it solid, or are there areas that need reinforcement?

Main Scriptures:

  • Matthew 7:24-27"The wise man built his house on the rock… but the foolish man built his house on the sand."
  • Ephesians 2:19-22"Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone."
  • Proverbs 27:17"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

Challenge: Evaluate your foundation—where do you need to reinforce your faith?

Listen now and be encouraged to build your life on the unshakable foundation of Christ!
