Dr. Deepak Patel is the Senior Director of Health Care Strategy and Innovation for Novo Nordisk. He leads a portfolio level strategy inclusive of population health and health disparities. Dr. Patel’s devotion to data and developing associates has allowed him to build a broad portfolio of diverse experiences in healthcare ranging from managed care and market access to medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. Over the past 6 years at his current company, he has served as the Director of Population Health and as the Managed Market Medical Liaison of National Accounts. Prior to this, Dr. Patel was a Senior Clinical Account Executive at Express Scripts and an Analytics Consultant for CVS Health. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana. Starting in January, he will take on a new role as Director of Medical Affairs for Diabetes where he will lead the Diabetes Field team across the northeast.
