In this episode, Marnie and Abby McDonald discuss our longing for certainty. It’s something we all want, right? We want to know when we choose a certain path, it’s going to end up a certain way.
What we may not realize is that our desire for certainty can actually get in the way of being with and hearing Jesus. What if surrendering the need for certainty helps us find and hear Jesus better?
Marnie and Abby chat about how:
- When Abby discovered that she could hear God’s voice, it changed everything about her walk with Jesus.
- Only one thing is needed to hear Him — and it isn’t knowledge. Knowledge does not determine our ability to hear God.
- We don’t have to have it all figured out to hear Him.
- Wanting certainty is a “yoke” or burden that’s too heavy for us.
- To lay down the need for certainty.
