Love is the third and final Theological Virtue that Bridgett and Janet discuss in this series. God loves us unconditionally but we have skewed love in ways that make our ability to know God's love more challenging. Join them as they try to give some insights into continuing to build a relationship with God and strengthening our ability to receive and trust in His unconditional love.
Catechism of the Catholic Church (733, 1823, and 1828)
Charity: The theological virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God (1822).
St. Thomas Aquinas: Love is willing the good of the other.
Types of Love:

o Eros: Romantic Love

o Storge: Familial affection, parent towards child

o Philia: Love between friends

o Agape: (caritas meaning charity) or the love God has for us

Christ’s love on the Cross

The self-sacrificial love we are to have as Christians

Baby Step:
Read and pray with the Gospel of John, Chapters 14 and 15.
