She is a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Tennessee State University. As an undergrad student at CAU, she served as Clarinet Section Leader, Drum Major, and Student Director of the Mighty Marching Panther Band; while at TSU, she served as a Graduate Assistant for the Aristocrat of Bands. LaToya has taught multiple disciplines, from band to chorus to drama, on every level.
