Shooting an entire wedding with just 360 film photos made me a better photographer than taking thousands of digital images ever could. This limitation forced me to be present, trust my eye, and shoot with purpose rather than panic.
• Film photography required intentionality—every frame had weight, every click had a cost
• Out of 360 frames, I'd typically lose only 30-40 shots and deliver 80-100 final images
• Digital freedom became a trap—shooting 3,000 images but still only delivering 100 keepers
• The editing process became overwhelming and mentally draining
• Eventually returned to the film mindset while using digital equipment
• Shooting with purpose rather than volume creates clarity and connection for clients
• Limited frames make you pay attention and create something that lasts
