Jeremy Basset is the CEO of CO:CUBED, a company that helps corporate businesses like Adidas, Vodafone, and Coca-Cola work with startups. Prior to this he was Head of Unilever Foundry - a startup programme he launched - and which saw over 200 startup collaborations. But he only learnt the right way to innovate after learning the hard way - going through £40m of funding - and 22 failed businesses - while at Unilever’s ‘new businesses unit’. What did he learn from this period of epic failure? Listen in and find out! In this episode, hear the time Jeremy was petrified by Dan on the main stage of a pan-European conference! Discover why less budget can create better innovation. How collaboration is the best way to scale. Learn why you should ignore at least half the advice you get…and how to take care while funding, because it can be a trap.
