An 18-years-old from Paris makes Aliyah and becomes a 8200 Intelligence Unit major. Then he creates a company that helps Olim find jobs in the hi-tech industry. A few years later, *the same guy*, co-founds a company that helps developers onboard to new jobs or project. It’s not a Startup Nation fairy tale. It’s Oren Toledano, ITC and Swimm co-founder. In January 2021 he joined us for Hummus and Tech and shared all his non-standard advice for Olim. A highly recommended listen to get inspired. Since then, Swimm has raised $27.6M, they are growing fast! (Applying to Swimm? Check out this episode for the best interview tips from Oren)…

Hey! We are back, and you MUST check this episode out. We've invited Inbal Arieli to help us crack the startup nation puzzle for those of us who didn't grow up in Israel. In her book, Chutzpah, she explains how a typical Israeli upbringing gives you all those traits that created the fast-paced startup and technology hub in Israel. Cool Olim fact: She highlights that the immigrant mentality shares much in common with those experiences. We'll go all over it and more! Aside of being a great author, she's the co-founder and CEO of Synthesis, and previously a founder of Startup Nation Central (which has proven super useful for Olim looking for a tech job in Israel).…

In this episode you'll learn what works and what doesn't work when interviewing with a startup founder, and how Olim can reinvent themselves when finding their first job in hi-tech. (Wait till you hear the story of the vet 🐶 becoming the best content writer on his previous company 😉)…

Sit back and relax. Let us take you on a trip to the past, before Corona times. We hope this episode recorded a few months ago, when everything was chill, will let you escape from your "which-day-is-it" routine. Now, let's turn up the beat! (I mean, continue reading but with a smile and a faster pace) For the first time in Hummus and Tech, we are covering the other side of the coin: where does the money to fund all the cool and innovative companies come from? Let us start by acknowledging that this was such an insightful conversation that we lost track of time and recorded for almost an hour. We didn’t want to leave anything out so we decided to split the episode in two.
