My adoption story from 22 years ago eventually led me into advocating that adoption should be presented as an option for women who find themselves faced with an unplanned pregnancy. And spending time in this space of such a sensitive subject led me to becoming, straight up, an advocate for women to be empowered with access and information to ALL options as they select the permanent decision that THEY feel is best for THEM. I’m an advocate for LOVE. Facing an unplanned pregnancy is freakin’ TOUGH and pushing your agenda on a woman in crisis helps NO ONE. We do not have to agree with people to love them. YES, people we know and love (and also perfect strangers) will make choices we do not agree with. AND, it’s their choice to make. Their life to live.
