During Jon’s incarceration, the Lord did many amazing things. One of the most observable was how God’s Spirit changed the entire atmosphere of the prison. As he was nearing the end of his sentence, one of the guards began to express his concern that things would go back to the way they had been before Jon arrived. Jon reminded him that this was God’s doing and it would continue after he was gone – just as Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians, “...I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
