Born to a geologist dad and a nurse mom in Pennsylvania, Stefanie Green was destined to love science, nature, and a good adventure. Her childhood was filled with storm chasing, stargazing, roadside cleanups, and one unforgettable farm visit that left her proudly dubbed ā€œthe dirtiest child to ever visit.ā€ With a deep love for the natural world, Stefanie’s future was clear.

She earned her B.S. in Environmental Biology from Delaware Valley University, but like many new grads, took a practical job in microbiology to make ends meet. A serendipitous dog-walking encounter with the president of the local Watershed Coalition opened a new path—one that aligned perfectly with her passion for conservation. Today, she works as a microbiologist by day and a devoted watershed conservationist by night, holding roles with both the Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association and her county’s open space advisory board.

Outside of science and service, Stefanie is a global traveler, rescue pet lover, and future mom. She’s lived in Mexico, explored six countries, and still finds time to play sports and cheer on her old marching band (Go Eagles!). Stefanie proves that fitting in isn’t about blending in—it’s about following your passion wherever it leads.
