In this episode, I take you through the process of getting into the prison and speaking to Temujin face to face for the first time.

We discuss his childhood, and I start my attempt to answer the question... before he became Temujin Kensu - who was Fred Freeman?

On November 5, 1986, a 20-year-old Scott Macklem was gunned down on the campus of Saint Clair County Community College (SC4) in Port Huron, Michigan.

At the time of his murder, Fred Freeman, now known as Temujin Kensu, claims he was over 400 miles away in the Upper Peninsula with his pregnant girlfriend.

The trial that ensued has been questioned by legal experts, law enforcement, journalists, and an army of true crime consumers.

Two life sentences. One search for the Truth.
