In this deeply personal testimony, Rahsheda Jeree opens up about her journey through trauma, loss, and ultimately — healing and redemption.
She reflects on the early years of her life, living with her big sister while her father served time in federal prison. After his release, she moved in with him, only to face the devastating reality of watching him battle — and lose — a 30-day fight against kidney failure.
But her story doesn't end in sorrow. Instead, it becomes a testimony of transformation.
After her father's passing, Rahsheda began to reconnect with her mother, who was battling drug addiction. By inviting her mom to spend time with her grandkids, she helped her mother rediscover love, purpose, and healing. Her mother’s love for her grandchildren became the very thing that pulled her away from addiction — and into a new role as a proud, present, and loving grandmother.
Now, Rahsheda and her mother are not only mother and daughter, but close friends. Her mother openly shares her own testimony, even as she still wrestles with guilt from the past and wonders if her children truly forgive her.
Rahsheda also speaks candidly about her own children — the deep bond they share, how they’ve coped with multiple losses, including the death of their father, and how they’ve learned to laugh through the pain with dark humor and open conversations about grief.
✨ This is a raw, honest, and powerful story about loss, love, forgiveness, and generational healing. If you’ve ever struggled with family, grief, or finding peace after pain — this testimony is for you.
