PodPeeps is the series where we capture the podcasting journeys of successful Indian podcasters. In this episode, the host Rohit Kokane is in conversation with Abhay Maheshwari, a podcaster, storyteller, coach, and public speaker.

He doesn’t focus a lot on the monetizing part as he believes that podcasting is a creative outlet for him. When he started, he didn’t overthink the process and simply recorded the episodes on his phone.
Abhay hosts a storytelling podcast and his secret sauce is that he doesn’t follow any particular frameworks. He narrates the story as he talks to a friend. He also shares that he doesn’t try too hard and sticks to a colloquial language which helps the audience to relate to him.
Rohit and Abhay discuss how both of them aren’t from media backgrounds but they did work hard and study the craft on the go. Abhay shares that overthinking the process won’t help. Instead, it’s better to jump into it and enjoy the journey.

Abhay Maheshwari is a Podcaster-storyteller-coach-public speaker. He is a multi-hyphenate who pursues podcasting as a passion project. Over the years has been featured by leading platforms such as Spotify, JioSaavn; storytelling collectives such as Kommune. In 2022, he was recognized among the top 5 Next Big Creators in the Indian digital audio space.
He also delivered a TEDx talk on the importance of storytelling in daily life. In 2021, he won the nationwide podcast hunt conducted by JioSaavn and consequently developed a JioSaavn exclusive show called “2BHK” . He was also recognized among Top 10 podcasters by Gaana. He has been invited as a guest speaker & industry expert panel by prestigious institutes such as Indian School of Business (ISB Hyderabad), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). He is a trained public speaker and a coach, and has conceptualized & rolled out modules on leadership, communication, podcasting, storytelling and creative thinking, and has trained 5k+ people over the past few years
