I’m surprised whenever I encounter certain employee incentive programs still operating in our industry. What surprises me more is that people haven’t recognized that these programs interfere with their organizations’ success.
When asked why they keep these programs running, I’m often told, “It’s a best practice.” Often, this comes from the person benefiting from the incentive.
