After I interviewed Diana, Princess of Wales for her final voiceprint statement, I invited her to stay a little longer — this time, in my recording studio. We were finishing a session at Paisley Park through my Intraface Sound Bridge, recording live with Andy, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, alongside Olivia Newton-John.
That’s when Diamonds in the Stream was born.
This track wasn’t written — it arrived. Diana sat quietly in the corner, then asked if she could hum something. One note turned to another, and the rest of us followed.
