Flood waters are still rising in many places in Iowa, even as they are beginning to recede in others. For Rev. Catie Newman, disaster response coordinator for the Iowa Conference, this is personal…she was forced from her home with just ten minutes notice. The flooding is more widespread than any time she can remember.
Rev. Newman provides an update on incoming shipments of cleanup buckets – 3000 are on their way from Illinois and Louisiana. While it’s still too early to provide hands-on assistance, she invites all to pray…pray…pray.
