For millennia, man has yearned to fly, and has attempted it with varying levels of success. Whether it be with homemade cardboard wings, or by detonating several kegs of TNT under our derriere.
Regardless of how we finally took to the skies, our fantasies involving flight can be found in nearly every fantasy or science fiction narrative. From Icarus and Peter Pan, to Iron Man and Neo, we've expressed our jealousies of birds, bugs, and banshees.
