Since last year, a few life long friends walked out of my life for reasons, I'm still confused about today. Having friends of any length of time, walk out is hard. Sometimes, friendship breakups are more heartbreaking than romantic relationships. I feel that this topic is important to discuss because during this phase of life, I notice that many people lose friends as we get older. Sometimes it's a mystery, a one-sided friendship, growing apart, or sadly, death. I discuss the emotional journey of healing after losing these kind of friendships. Joined by my girlfriend's, Kristen and Sydney, we share personal stories about friendship breakups, the grieving process, and the importance of finding new, supportive friends. We also delve into coping mechanisms, the impact of long-term friendships, and the lessons learned from these experiences. Through our discussions, we aim to provide comfort and insight for those who have faced similar losses. - Healing After Losing Friendships - The Importance of Core Friendships - Dealing with Ghosting and Attachment Styles - Taking Accountability and Self-Reflection - Social Media and Friendships Today - Lessons Learned from Losing Friendships Read more shownotes over at www.thirtyflirtyandnerdy.com Upcoming News! Ben Stimpson on the podcast! Ben and I met through a Facebook group. If you’re into spirituality, are apart of LGBTQ+ community, a student in college, this podcast episode is for you. We talk about going back to school in your 30s and why it’s not a big deal as people make it out to be. Honestly, going back to school in your 30s you don’t have that huge ego and you actually LEARN things then just glide through classes. Ben also shares how being an older student he learned so much more about his courses and what he wanted to do that he is succeeding in that area. Because he went back to school in his 30s he also realized that time is a spiral and not so linear as we think. We also discuss saturn return and what it means to us in our 30s. Ah, the 90s. What most of us remember as our childhood. We have a lot of fun, fantical memories of the 90s and what it meant to us growing up. But do we really want to go back to the 90s or keep moving forward in life? Today is the very first round table episode of Thirty Flirty and Nerdy where I have my friends Ashley and James Nickerson, and my boyfriend, Brian Benetiz on the podcast to chat about our childhoods, what we remember, and how technology changed the world as we knew it. We Chat About: How old were they were in 90s What was their favorite thing they did as a kid Did they have any fun toys, tv series or unique pop culture that you think about still to this day? (i.e. saturday cartoons) Did they feel that your childhood then is different than the kid’s we see now? We were in the age of no tech (i.e. cell phones, computers, internet) to dial up and what we are now. How did they feel about the changes within society? The impact of 9/11 and big events in our childhood. What do they remember? How do they feel the news changed from then to now? Want to be on the show?
