The Cannabis Opportunity Reinvestment and Equity (CORE) program, created by the City of Sacramento, is dedicated to assisting individuals and communities who are facing barriers in starting cannabis businesses due to the historical disparate enforcement of cannabis crimes. The program supports community members seeking opportunity and growth by offering training, technical and financial assistance and other guidance.

Our participants are ambitious entrepreneurs focused on a vision of change. Each has a unique story of challenges, aspirations, and achievements.

Cannabis is a growing sector of business that should not be exclusive to big players. CORE is paving the way for inclusion in the cannabis sector, calling for local ownership. We can provide a number of benefits for individuals and communities who are looking to start a business in cannabis.

The only problem is, according to Chelsea is that CORE isn’t fulfilling these aims.
She explains what’s happening and says the city has failed to roll out the program.
