Join us as we talk with Jillian about trauma recovery for the mind and body. Traumas are emotional events that overwhelm us and our ability process and move through them. As a result, a traumatized person can feel that they are at the mercy of the world around them. In this workshop, we will explore the impacts that traumas have on the mind, body and spirit as well as the most relevant research-based practices for mind-body healing and integration.
Using trauma-informed yoga and somatic experiencing, we will cultivate a skill set that allows us to reacquaint ourselves with our bodies, practice making choices and have new experiences — some of the natural, life-affirming comforts that are taken from us when traumatic events occur. This program is open to all — including those whom have an interest in trauma, navigated the challenging journey of recovering from traumas of various kinds as well as professionals that wish to hone their skills in mind-body practices.
