In today's episode, we have Monica Tatooma who ran for Oakland County Commission back in August 2022.

Monica is a Republican who firmly believes in lower taxes, less government, and more freedom. "From being a devoted mother to three children under the age of 10 – to pursuing the field of Psychology in my early years so I could work with the most vulnerable among us, I have learned that actions far outweigh any words or promises. I have also learned that it’s important to step up and fight injustices for our most vulnerable."

"From community and civic volunteerism to involvement in the local Republican Party, I understand that government and shaping our communities go to those who show up. This is why I founded Parents Against Mandates, uniting over 2,000 fellow Oakland County residents in the battle against Governor Whitmer and her use of government overreach to overshadow personal responsibility and local control over our children and our schools."

"I reside in Commerce Township with my husband and three wonderful children. I graduated from Oakland University with a B.A. in Psychology and served as a sponsor for The Chaldean American Association of healthcare professionals (known as CAAHP). CAAHP works with various organizations to help the underprivileged and refugees, as well as working with Project Bismuitha, providing free health care to low-income and uninsured Chaldeans. I am also a strong supporter of the Chaldean American ladies of Charity and have sponsored their food pantry."
