In this special edition of Panthers Without Borders, we sit down with two student-athletes at Kentucky Wesleyan College—Mohamed Alshabot from Louisville, KY, with roots in Iraq, and Ivan Juarez from Madisonville, KY, with Dominican heritage.

Though they were born and raised in the U.S., both Mohamed and Ivan share how their international backgrounds have shaped their identities, their perspectives, and their journeys as college soccer players.
