In this episode, Kevin discusses his darkest period of depression and how his devotion to his art and parenthood kept him from taking his own life. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide is the third leading cause of death for black males, ages 15-24. Suicide rates have doubled among black men since 1980. 121 Americans die by suicide each day, according to the Centers for Disease Control — and 93 of them are men.
