Tell us what you though of the episode

🎙️ Just dropped a new episode of the Kingdom of Dreams Podcast — and this one’s a good one. I sat down with cinematographer Nigel Bluck to talk all things Lilo & Stitch, Disney’s new live-action adaptation.
Nigel takes us behind the scenes of bringing this beloved story to life — from the 90s-inspired look and emotional tone to the visual effects that made Stitch feel real. We also dive into what it was like working with director Dean DeBlois, and how they made sure the heart of Hawaiian culture and family stayed front and center.
If you're into filmmaking, cinematography, or just love Lilo & Stitch, you won’t want to miss this one. 🎧✨
Nigel Bluck is a New Zealand-born cinematographer known for his work on both independent films and major productions. He began his career with Stickmen (2001) and gained recognition as a second unit cinematographer on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He has since worked on acclaimed films like The Home Song Stories, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, as well as TV series such as True Detective. Trained at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, Bluck is known for his collaborative approach, use of large-format lenses, and strong visual storytelling. He currently lives in New Zealand with his partner and son.
