There's a push for new safety measures for electric scooters in Delaware County after a girl died and several more kids were hurt recently while on them. Haverford Township commissioners on Monday night will consider new regulations for e-scooters and e-bikes. The rules would prohibit anyone under the age of 16 from riding them. And, parents and guardians would face prosecution and fines if their kids get caught on e-scooters or e-bikes. It comes two months after 12-year-old Abby Gillon was killed and her friend was hurt when they were hit by a car while on their scooter in Aston, Delaware County. Just last week, two teen boys were hurt when they crashed into a pickup truck while on an e-scooter in Springfield.
