A man is arrested after police say he vandalized a Philadelphia Gas Works vehicle by slashing a tire. Police say it was close to 9 o'clock yesterday (Tues) morning when 59-year-old Carnell Wilder approached a PGW employee operating a digger loader along Ford Road in West Philadelphia. Police say Wilder then asked him “Why aren’t you striking?", and then pulled out a knife and slashed the rear tire of the loader. The 59-year-old was taken to the hospital with a hand injury and was eventually put in police custody. Wilder is charged with possessing an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, and related offenses. (Photo: Philadelphia Police Department)
