This week on Lagos Meets London we have one of the founders of UK’s biggest and most beloved day party brand (DLT). We dive deep into the story of how a one-year finance internship in New York led to a cultural shift in London’s event scene within the black community.

Inspired by the way New York curated nightlife for the Black experience something London lacked at the time the founders returned with a mission: to create spaces where the Black community could truly feel at home. That mission became DLT Brunch, a movement that’s grown from intimate gatherings to massive experiences across the globe, including the iconic DLT Malta a sun-soaked celebration that transports the UK crowd to the beaches of Malta.

We talk about the brand’s journey, the challenges, the joy of seeing their community connect and thrive, and why the 2026 edition of DLT Malta will mark the end of an unforgettable era.

Here at Lagos Meets London, this story deeply aligns with our mission to continue amplifying the success stories of Nigerians in the diaspora and with all four DLT founders proudly Nigerian, this conversation is a celebration of both cultural excellence and community impact.

This is more than a party story — it’s about culture, belonging, and building spaces that feel like home
