When an Arizona woman fails to return home from her late-night shift at the hospital where she works, her family and friends launch a search and locate her battered body. Her accused killer raises one of the most outrageous defenses ever entertained in criminal court in this episode of Last Seen Alive.

If you know anything about the death of Sarah Saganitso, please contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-774-1414.

And if you’re interested in hearing about Sarah’s case in the words of her own family members, with input from Navajo cultural experts—which I highly recommend—I have a documentary episode recommendation for you. There’s a limited series called Out There: Crimes of the Paranormal, and Episode 6 is dedicated to Sarah’s case. Don’t let the show’s title fool you—it doesn’t try to argue that Sarah was killed by a shapeshifter. It’s well done. You can find it on Hulu and Disney Plus.
