Adjectives of quantity describes the largeness of nouns. Much and Many are adjectives of quantity that describes the indefinite largeness of nouns. MUCH is used with uncountable nouns and with interrogative and negative sentences. EXAMPLES: How much money do you have? There hasn't been much rain this year. MANY is used with countable nouns and with interrogative, affirmative and negative sentences. EXAMPLES: How many books are on that table? He has many friends in school. I don't have many shoes.
