This week we are chatting about the hype around medical spas, glp1 medications, horomone testing and replacement, vitamin infusions, infusion clinics, etc.
What do all of these things have in common? We are being marketed to continuously about how we need to be incorporating these interventions into our health routines in order to be our healthiest selves. If we test our hormone levels, we'll discover the underlying reason why we're not losing weight. If we replace our GLP1 whether it be in its natural form or as a medication, we'll minimize the food noise in our brains. Vitamin and fluid infusions are definitely the ticket to ensuring your energy levels are through the roof and you are in the best health.
Any of these sound familiar?
These interventions might be something you could benefit from for a time or two but let's be real, these are expense tests, medications and interventions. A lot of these are not readily available depending on geographical location and financially they disqualify a number of people as they are typically not covered by insurance.
So why do people seek out these types of treatments? They are sold a quick fix, a fast solution or a story promising to complete the missing piece of their complicated health story. What is most overlooked are the simple basics of health...nutrition, hydration, motion, sleep, stress management.
If we are ignoring these areas and jumping right to interventions, how can we expect these to sustainable long-term and what benefit will we even see from them?
Stop seeking out the bright, shiny objects and put your blinders on! Stop cheating yourself and make a decision to make healthier habits second nature.
We'll meet you back at the basics...reach out for a complementary consultation today!
