This week we are tackling the popular Healthy Gut, Healthy Brain topic. We've been hearing about gut health for quite some time, but it seems to have ramped back up over the past few years. So how do you know if you have an unhealthy gut and how might this be affecting your brain?
We know that inflammation can wreck havoc on our physical body systems but it can also affect our mood, emotions, mental clarity, etc. So this is where gut health can be a benefical area to consider. But to be entirely honest, this isn't something that we haven't already covered in the past. We may not have talked specially about pro and prebiotics but we have definitely discussed the benefits of decreasing inflammation to help with aches, pains, gastrointestinal symptoms, joint swelling, etc.
So take a listen as we breakdown how you might consider introducing probiotics and prebiotics. We'll also cover where to find these in the foods that you might already have in your fridge.
