Hello Sustainable Friends and welcome to the Let's Act: Sustainably Developing Africa and Beyond podcast!
Known as The Rags to Impact Coach, Dumi Senda has gone from a life of menial labor with little prospects to Oxford university MSc graduate and go-to Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) expert and coach with extensive experience of working with top global organizations across several sectors in 5 continents.
He is currently Head of Growth & Innovation at Righttrack Learning, a senior leadership role that involves leading on strategic business development and curating and delivering Bespoke D&I Training solutions for teams and leaders in organizations across a wide array of sectors.
Dumi passionately believes we should NEVER LET OUR BACKGROUNDS KEEP US IN THE BACKGROUND and, as psychologist Dr. Caroline Leaf puts it, we are all “wired for success!”
This was an awesome interview and here are some highlights:

  • Stop the blame game as the World owes us nothing! We need to be intentional about our development against all odds.
  • The illusion of consumerism and freedom can be a cause of distraction for Youth.
  • How can value be added to the entertainment space especially in Africa to steer Youth in the right direction while they still enjoy themselves?
  • Youth are increasingly becoming intolerant to unfairness and injustice.
  • Let us recognize that great inventions are coming out of the African continent and Africans should not lose their identity or passion as the World is now borderless.
  • Collaboration with the Diaspora and the World is key for innovation and growth.
  • We all need to leave a sustainable Legacy for the Youth to help them unlock their potential power and be role models.
  • We have to recognize and foster the need to inculcate a coaching culture in schools, homes, faith organizations, and more!

I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
Kindly Listen and Share. Thank you very much.
