In this episode, I’m sharing my journey as I prepare for my first wedding of the 2025 season as a Washington DC wedding photographer. It’s an exciting season filled with careful planning, creativity, and anticipation as I prepare to capture a couple’s special day. Our first wedding this year is a wedding in Alexandria, VA, and I’m thrilled to kick off my season in such a beautiful, historic location.
I dive into finalizing logistics — coordinating timelines with the couple and other vendors, double-checking gear, and ensuring every detail is covered. As a wedding photographer in Washington, DC, I know how important it is to prioritize my clients' vision, so I’m creating a system that keeps their style and must-have moments front and center.
Curating my styling kit has been such a fun and intentional process! I’m gathering everything from elegant ring boxes to soft ribbons and thoughtful flat-lay elements to enhance detail shots. These small touches help me bring artistry to every wedding, whether I’m photographing weddings in Northern Virginia or the heart of DC.
Beyond all the prep, I reflect on the excitement and growth of stepping into new possibilities. Every wedding is an opportunity to tell a unique love story. I can't wait to connect with more couples and build lasting relationships as I grow as a Northern Virginia wedding photographer.
