- I realized that unhealed childhood wounds were quietly shaping how I showed up in dating, and not in a good way. Emotional dysregulation, low self-worth, and seeking external validation were all signs that my inner child was running the show.
- I had to learn how to reparent myself; meeting the needs of my inner child with compassion, safety, and validation, so I could stop projecting old wounds onto new partners.
- Doing the inner child work was the key to becoming securely attached and finally embodying the type of partner who attracts secure partners.
