Light-Skinned Women And The Black Man is an unapologetic article written by Stephanie Lahart. She speaks boldly about how African American men, for the most part, desire light skin black women over dark skin black women. Stephanie Lahart believes that black women and black girls are exquisitely beautiful in EVERY shade, but why don’t some black men feel the same way? Why can’t they appreciate and celebrate ALL shades of melanin? Why are some black men so insensitive and blatantly disrespect dark skinned women all over social media? It’s 2018, and I all you have to do is go on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc… and you’ll come across silly things such as #TeamLighSkin vs. #TeamDarkSkin… REALLY?! Some black brothas need a reality check. If you’re an African American man, and you’re one of those people claiming that you’re WOKE, but you disrespect black women, you are lost. Listen to Stephanie Lahart as she speaks openly about this shameful issue that has been affecting black people for the longest. Colorism within the black community is real, and unfortunately, it continues to divide black people because we’re keeping this crap up amongst ourselves. If our black men really understood our Black History, I would hope that they’d strive to do better. This is NOT a game… Black communities will never reach its full potential with this kind of division. Wake up! Colorism affects us more than you realize… Educate yourself! QUESTION OF THE DAY… When you think of beautiful black women, who comes to mind and why? Be honest with yourself!
