"A Global Perspective on Drinking-Water and Sanitation Classification: An Evaluation of Census Content" assesses the efficacy of national census questionnaires in collecting data pertinent to drinking water and sanitation. The authors, affiliated with universities and UNICEF, investigate the alignment of existing census content with new international monitoring targets for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) proposed subsequent to the 2015 Millennium Development Goals.
