Before My Dad Died, He Said He Was Proud of Me”
Manage episode 489001605 series 3671967
In this emotional and honest video, I open up about the loss of my father — a good, humble man who shaped my life in ways I’m only just beginning to understand.
He lost his own dad at 11, but still found a way to show up for us with love and adventure — taking us on trips, teaching us lessons, and showing quiet strength.
Our relationship wasn’t perfect. At one point, he even talked about writing me out of his will. But before he passed, something shifted. I got a job, he was proud of me again… and I knew we had found our way back to each other.
It’s been 14 years since he died in a motorbike accident — and I’m still learning how to grieve, to remember, and to heal.
This is for anyone who’s lost a parent, struggled with forgiveness, or wants to reconnect with the past to move forward.
