Robert Eggers revives the original vampire tale with plenty of moody shadows and Willem Dafoe’s signature creep factor, but let’s face it—this one doesn’t quite earn eternal life. Sure, it’s stylish and brooding, but we’re not sure it did enough to truly cement itself in horror history.
