This episode I chat with Paraone Luiten Apirana who hails from Ngāti Hikairo, Te Arawa and Tuhoe. Paraone is in his final year of conjoint degree of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) specialising in Mechanical and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing. This episode delves into his involvement in whakairo (carving), how he has the opportunity to leave a place better than he has found it and the importance of having Māori in spaces that serve Māori. Paraone holds strong to what he believes in; something really evident in this episode. He was also acknowledged as the Māori Business Student of the Year for 2021 at te Whare Wānanga o Tāmaki Makaurau. I truly hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
