Nine people were killed in Ukraine’s Sumy region after a Russian drone struck a passenger minibus, according to Governor Oleh Hryhorov.
The attack took place near the town of Bilopillia, less than 10 kilometers (about six miles) from the Russian village of Tetkino, an area that has seen ongoing fighting in recent days.
Hryhorov said the strike was carried out by a Lancet-type drone and noted that civilians were aboard the vehicle.
In addition to the nine killed, seven others were wounded, three of whom are in serious condition.
The Russian military has not commented on the attack.
