Over the past week, Russian forces have carried out large-scale strikes on Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Kherson, and other Ukrainian cities. On June 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that since the start of the month, Russia had launched 2,736 drones of various types (including decoy drones) at Ukrainian territory. A passenger train going from Odesa to Zaporizhzhia that was reportedly carrying over 500 passengers was hit by a Russian strike. “A civilian train, ordinary people. June 28, 2025. On the evening of June 27, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Odesa. One strike caused apartments on several floors of a 21-story building to catch fire, killing local teacher Kateryna Borsynska and her husband, Valentyn, according to Suspilne. Seventeen people were injured.
