As women go through menopause and beyond, hormonal changes affect how they react to medications! Join Jeanne as she speaks with Suzanne Robotti about safe treatments for women during and after menopause. Women should work closely with their doctors to manage their medication and deal with any risks or side effects!

Here are the things to expect in the episode:

  • The effects of drugs and their side effects as people age.
  • How do medications impact women as they navigate through menopause and beyond?
  • Consulting pharmacists and drug reviews.
  • Why is it important for women to exercise caution when considering herbal supplements?
  • And much more!

About Suzanne:

Suzanne Robotti started MedShadow Foundation in 2013 because she was harmed by a medicine called DES (diethylstilbestrol) that was given to her mother while pregnant and, as a result, was unable to have children. Generations later, this hormone disruptor has been found to cause rare cancers, autoimmune diseases and infertility.

In 2017, Robotti was appointed to the FDA Advisory Committee on Drug Safety and Risk Management, joining a panel of doctors and pharmacists as the sole consumer representative. Together, the Committee reviews research and decides if a drug is safe enough for use.
